Overview

Validating data from Health IT systems is the cornerstone of effective Health IT Enabled QI. Ensuring that Health IT-generated reports and data reflect an accurate picture of the care and outcomes of your population ensures that data is actionable for quality improvement, monitoring as well as many other purposes. This validation must be ongoing as system , provider, workflow, and other changes, can all impact accuracy of data. This section provides worksheets, guides, and tips for validating data.

eClinicalWorks and Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Data Management

This discussion allowed Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) providers that use eClinicalWorks to share challenges and solutions related to RWHAP data management.

The Data and Reporting TA (DART) Team offers numerous resources for users of commonly-used electronic health record (EHR) systems to assist in the process of completing the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Services Report (RSR). Collaborative, provider-led webinars with EHR user groups are held on Thursdays at 3:00 pm EST. On the webinars, users across the country will have the opportunity to discuss common issues with their EHR software and problem-solve together with technical assistance contractors. The DART Team will also compile documents outlining the questions and solutions posed on each call and send updates to EHR users. If you would like to receive EHR-specific updates, new materials, and information about upcoming events, register for a mailing list.
