Overview

Successful use of Health IT enabled Quality Improvement requires a strong organizational foundation. Health Information Technology support for HIV Screening and Prevention Services

Environmental scan for Ending the HIV Epidemic

In 2019, as part of the Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative HITEQ conducted an environmental scan to determine the role of EHRs and health IT in health center capacity and ability to expand HIV screening and prevention. HITEQ reviewed existing data and existing literature, and conducted 15 interviews with health centers and health center partners. The results are structured as a SWOT analysis, outlining strenths and weaknesses internal to health center health IT systems as well as opportunities and threats, factors that are external to health centers.
