HITEQ Training and Technical Assistance

The HITEQ Center supports health centers in advancing their technology needs by providing free training and technical assistance (TTA). We collaborate with partners - Primary Care Associations (PCAs), Health Center Controlled Networks (HCCNs) - to develop and deliver TTA that aims to build health center health IT knowledge and capacity in access to comprehensive care, advancing health equity, operational excellence, value based care, interoperability, screening for social risk factors, and emerging issues (e.g., HIV, emergency preparedness). Types of TTA offered by the HITEQ Center include:

  • Health center trainings are webinars that include sharing and discussion on current, evidence-based information on a priority health-IT topic and/or innovation in the field of health IT. Typically, training webinars are 60-90 minutes in length, including time for questions and answers. Priority is given to training webinars that involve health centers from more than one state or are regional or national.
  • Brief technical assistancee offers tailored technical assistance from subject matter experts to support a specific health-IT challenge or need for a group of health centers.
  • Referral to resource(s) are responses to training and technical assistance requests for resources and may include publications, tools, recorded training or videos on a HITEQ area of focus.
