Session 4: Protecting Patient Privacy Anywhere, Anytime

This series will focus on the unique challenges and opportunities of using EHRs and other health information technology in care settings such as mobile units, school-based health centers, street outreach programs, and correctional facilities. Through four interactive virtual sessions, we will cover key topics including sharing data and patient records across locations, implementing simple yet effective cybersecurity measures in smaller clinics, defining essential cybersecurity roles in resource-limited settings, and safeguarding patient privacy in every environment.

If you are from a health center and are interested in making the most of EHRs and other health information technology in dynamic settings, you should join this series! IT personnel, leadership, clinic managers, operations staff, as well as clinical personnel will all gain knowledge from attending this series.

Understand the ethical and legal considerations of patient privacy across different care environments. This session will explore best practices for data collection and storage, as well as risk management and incident response strategies to ensure confidentiality no matter where care is provided.
