A use case example from the Arizona Health-e Connection and SAMHSA Consent2Share project

This presentation by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) Health IT efforts provides reviewers an opportunity to:

  • Explore the history of SAMHSA’s Opioid Treatment Program Service Continuity Project (OTP SCP)
  • Spotlight OTP SCP II, focusing on successes, challenges, and lessons learned
  • Introduce resources for others looking to share health information in compliance with 42 CFR Part 2

This overview is provided to health center leadership and staff to help them better understand new practices and technologies in the field that can assist in compliance with HIPAA 42 CFR Part 2 regulations when trying to participate in health information exchange activities.
