HITEQ Skill Builder Series: Health IT & Data Basics: 101 for New Health Center Staff

HITEQ Skill Builder Series: Health IT & Data Basics: 101 for New Health Center Staff

Overview Session

Designed for staff new to health centers, new to their roles in a health center, or interested in reinforcing their skills, this learning pathway provides a foundational understanding of a health center’s digital and data-driven landscape. This series moves beyond a simple introduction, progressively building essential skills for effective
data utilization. Through a series of structured sessions, participants will learn how to navigate health IT systems, understand the importance of data collection, and begin to
see how accurate information drives quality care and operational success.

Join us for an introductory session on Health IT and data, where we will provide a high-level overview of how data flows through a health center and why a baseline understanding of these concepts is important for all staff. In this session, we will define common terms and concepts in health IT and data, and describe how they connect to value-based care. You will leave with an understanding of how using data for reporting can improve patient care.
