Overview

Validating data from Health IT systems is the cornerstone of effective Health IT Enabled QI. Ensuring that Health IT-generated reports and data reflect an accurate picture of the care and outcomes of your population ensures that data is actionable for quality improvement, monitoring as well as many other purposes. This validation must be ongoing as system , provider, workflow, and other changes, can all impact accuracy of data. This section provides worksheets, guides, and tips for validating data.

Clinical Quality Measures 101: Clinical Quality Programs and Clinical Quality Measures

Virtual Learning Collaborative

As health centers engage with more quality programs through payers, funders, and others there is a pressing need for health center staff to have a foundational understanding of clinical quality measures, quality programs, and how these fit together and fit into the patient care provided in health centers. This learning collaborative was appropriate for health center personnel looking for a simple, foundational understanding of the quality measures and related programs. Over the course of four structured virtual learning sessions, participants engaged with subject matter experts and their colleagues in peer-to-peer learning and discussion. Topics included: clinical quality programs and clinical quality measures, the anatomy of a clinical quality measure, assessing data alignment, and how to apply these approaches to the health center setting.

Session 1: Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024: Clinical Quality Programs and Clinical Quality Measures

To kickoff the Clinical Quality Measures 101 Learning Collaborative, we focused on getting oriented to the general landscape of clinical quality programs and understanding who is in charge of them and why your health center may be participating in them now and in the future.
