Leadership Buy-In Resources Overview

This section of the website provides resources intended to help spur leadership action on to new or improved quality efforts. The tools are intended to be used by leaders, but also by other Health Center staff who are determined to solicit the help of leaders on quality work.

Embarking on, or making significant advancements to quality work requires strong Health Center leadership.  Leaders help define how decisions will be made, provide the resources necessary to analyze data and processes, and develop or guide strategic planning efforts that integrate all the functions of a Health Center.  At the highest level of function, quality is driven by organizational culture, rather than strategy.  Here too, leaders play important roles in helping to define and spread culture change throughout an organization.

Virtual Learning Collaborative

As health centers engage with more quality programs through payers, funders, and others there is a pressing need for health center staff to have a foundational understanding of clinical quality measures, quality programs, and how these fit together and fit into the patient care provided in health centers. This learning collaborative was appropriate for health center personnel looking for a simple, foundational understanding of the quality measures and related programs.

Over the course of four structured virtual learning sessions, participants engaged with subject matter experts and their colleagues in peer-to-peer learning and discussion. Topics included: clinical quality programs and clinical quality measures, the anatomy of a clinical quality measure, assessing data alignment, and how to apply these approaches to the health center setting.

To kickoff the Clinical Quality Measures 101 Learning Collaborative, we focused on getting oriented to the general landscape of clinical quality programs and understanding who is in charge of them and why your health center may be participating in them now and in the future.
